The reading internet deserves somewhere beautiful.
Feeds are good at showing what is new. Libraries are good at keeping what mattered. Slowburn is being built to learn from both, for the readers who feel books a little too much.
Why we exist
What the feed forgets.
Romance readers have built one of the largest, most generous reading cultures on the internet, and they built it on tools that were never designed for them: a cataloguing site from another era, and feeds that are brilliant at the new and hopeless at the lasting. The review you loved is three scrolls down and then gone. The reader whose taste matches yours is impossible to find on purpose. The book that rearranged you in March is a star rating by June.
Nothing preserves what a book did to a person. Nothing lets that become, by choice, how other readers find them. That is the gap Slowburn exists to close.
